I am seeing that there is more and more of a movement of people turning their backs on organized religion/corporate churches.
And, I understand it… dare I say, agree in a way?
The ridiculous pomp and circumstance that the “people” of the church put up has squelched any desire for the normal person to come to Jesus.
Not all. But, a lot.
Have a baby while unwed? You aren’t good enough.
Smoke? Drink? Say curse words?
Forget about being accepted.
Why.
At one point when I was pregnant, and unwed, Phil and I were searching for a church – the one we were attending rejected us. I distinctly remember another church saying that we could not attend there because people in their church were not sinners.
Take a minute and watch this video – if you feel comfortable enough, I would love to hear your thoughts.

And, maybe I’m totally wired differently, but it is so unjust, and cruel to me that people are so dang judgmental! Separate the sin vs. the sinner, people. Any time someone is treated poorly it angers me. Sexual preference, race, religious affiliation, cross eyes, mentally handicap… ANYTHING! You want to bring people to Jesus, you go get them. Step away from the safety of your four walls and meet the people where they are.
