As part of my 2016 goals, I have listed to accomplish reading 12 books this year, of which 4 need to be non fiction, and 4 are to be spiritual growth. Now, I love books. Up until a few years ago, I was a huge reader. But, I was a huge reader. 🙂 That doesn’t equate well when you have kids to look after, so it got put off to the side. Plus, something strange has happened as I’ve gotten older. I’m not able to focus like I used to. Sitting down to read a book has become really difficult. I miss reading, though – to be transmitted to a different time, different place. To imagine in your head the events that are leaping off the page. Or, just settling in to learn about your faith, or your history. I miss that.
Currently I am reading “Money Making Mom” by Crystal Paine. I wanted to start my reading list off with a book that would read quick, and give me information that I could use. Plus… it was cheap. 🙂 Anyway, this book is about learning what you can do to make money from home. I’m hoping it lives up to the hype and can give me some useful information.
In my search for books to read, I came across the website “Goodreads”. Have you heard about it? It seems everyone but me has, but in case you have not, you can track books you’ve read, ones you are working on, and the books that look good to you! I’ve added the books that are on my list to read, you can see them, plus track my progress over in the sidebar.
Are you a reader? What is on your list, or night stand to read?
