This is my very first batch of soap… ever. I went with a basic recipe – sodium hydroxide, olive oil, coconut oil, and lard, scented with lavender essential oil. I used a medium size USPS priority mailer, and hand cut the bars (which explains the wonky bar shapes). This picture shows them cleaned up and ready for use/testing.
I’m working on putting together a mini survey to go with each soap when they get tested so I can keep track.
I’ve got three batches of basic soap under my belt, and I am definitely hooked. There is so much to learn, but it is a great way to keep busy, stretch my creativity and produce something natural and good for you! Stay tuned for more!
