This was the 4th soap that I created. Posting them here on my site, I actually got a little out-of-order, so I'm trying to get back on track. Anyway, this one is another great soap and I really like the recipe. In fact, I only have one bar left. I've been told this helped with acne, too. This was created with coconut oil, olive oil, and palm oil. Scented with jasmine fragrance oil and colored with antique blue mica. This was a learning experience (aren't they all) because it traced super … [Read more...] about Simple Gentle Jasmine
You may have heard that I have a thing for soap :) I spend a lot of time researching... just about everything pertaining to soap and soap crafting. Scented with lime and sage, and colored with brazilian clay. I really like the scent the lime gives it and I am pretty proud of the swirl that came out. I didn't follow any formal technique, just did whatever. I'm not sure I like the texture yet, but that may be more to do with the clay than anything else. Here's … [Read more...] about Lime Sage Lard Soap
Batch #3 Truly, I can't believe I didn't post on this. It was done quite awhile ago. Anyway, I made this lovely with coconut oil, castor oil and vegetable shortening. Scented strictly with orange essential oil, and also added some ground cloves. Now... we really like this soap for a couple reasons. First, the smell has lasted. Second, the cloves provide a nice exfoliation component in the show, but not too much that is scrapes your skin off. The other day, I only had the coffee soap … [Read more...] about Orange Clove Soap
