Too much emotion

Do you realize how much we bring upon ourselves simply because we allow too much emotion to cloud us? Now - before you get all up in arms, let me say... emotions are good.  They are healthy, and they are needed. They have their place. And, there are many times in our life, we put them in places they do not belong. Like when we need to adjust our lives to follow more closely to Jesus. Like... when Jesus is trying to teach us something. Like... when the Holy Spirit pricks our heart. Let me explain. These past few months that I've been away from home, I've been able to push aside normal concerns because they haven't been in my face. Where is He?

Tonight was a wonderfully blessed time reconnecting with our school family.  This is now our third year at the private school, and for us, there is no other school that could hold a candle to them.  From the very beginning, they have come along side Phil and I to support us in the role as parents to our precious girls.  Our lives have been forever changed by the amazing blessing they are to us.  Even through the struggles.  I can't say enough about them. I was talking with one of my friends tonight - they all know the situation we've been dealing with over the summer.  I was sharing how for me, this has been an extraordinary time because I'm finally starting to realize that...
