Well – how did you do? I did alright – I definitely didn’t go grocery shopping for food until yesterday. But, I did find that not all my meals worked out the way I had wanted them to. For instance, on Wednesday, I had planned on putting together a crock pot meal, but I ran out of time at home in the morning and didn’t get to put it together. The Ham Steaks we didn’t do, nor did we have the meatloaf, opting instead for regular burgers.
Which, all in all is no big deal. Sometimes you aren’t in the mood for a particular dish on that night, or things come up – we have to be flexible! Besides, it makes planning this week’s meals all the more easier 🙂
Part of my goal in all this is to save enough of my grocery budget to have some set aside for couponing. I want to get really good at it, but it often seems like I don’t have the extra to build a stockpile. Now after this week’s shopping I should be able to have at least a few bucks to go. I went grocery shopping yesterday and spent $136 – this included the items for Saturday & Sunday of this week, then the full week of meals below.
Without further ado, here is this week’s meal plan.
