Happy Sunday, everyone 🙂
It is finally July. Hellllo, July! I hope you treat us better than June! Actually, to be fair, I don’t have any regrets. I don’t want to look back on June, or even this year with negativity because threaded through the challenges, the disappointments, the scares… were some wonderful times, and better than that, I can certainly see the Lord working through, and with us in it all. So, July… bring whatever you have, because I am EXCITED!
This morning I grabbed my coffee and headed out to the garden to do a little weeding after I had my morning conversations with the dogs, then the ducks, then the hens, and last the younger chickens. It’s going to be a hot one, so I didn’t get a whole lot done, then I headed in the house to look for cars. Again.
Sitting here scrolling through Craigslist, Autotrader, and Facebook, I started to get a little frustrated that we haven’t found a replacement car yet, but I stopped myself. I know the perfect vehicle is out there for us. Then, I was reminded of this scripture:
James 1:4-6 (NKJV)
4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.
So, we will just be patient 🙂
Now, let me tell you a few things that I have cooking up around here.
FIRST – I am in the process of moving all of my farm related stuff to “Modern Farm Life” www.modernfarmlife.com I would sure appreciate it if you like those types of posts to pass it on! That site is going to focus on sharing information about our little mini farm that we are growing. So, things related to ducks, chickens, dogs, cats… maybe goats and bees in the future 🙂 And, of course the garden, canning, do it yourself kinds of things. I hesitate to say “homesteading” because I don’t know that I consider us that, but we do work on figuring out how to do stuff ourselves. Anyway, if that interests you, head over there, and share the website. I’m still getting stuff moved, and I need to get a new post up.
SECOND – SOAP! Oh, I love soap. I haven’t done a batch in several months, and it has me twitchy. I’ve said it before – God gives you a passion, and you need to follow it. Well, I believe the Lord put this passion in me for a reason, so I’m following it. Just to let you know, I am working on getting things together to get some batches fired up, new products tested, and other surprised rolling out.
July is going to be full of gardens, and soap, and homeschool prep, for sure. Can’t wait! Have a great Sunday everyone!
